Experiential Ayurveda Immersion

  • Karma Yoga Center 1705 South Pearl Street Denver, CO, 80210 United States (map)

Please note this a four week immersion. It is every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Karma Yoga Center beginning on October 11 and wrapping up on November 1.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word, meaning life knowledge. Ayurveda is the science of life. It is time tested and proven to support balance of mind, body and spirit. Its principles manifest through our personal constitution as well as the perceived world around us, such as the seasons, weather, food, and time.

In this four week immersion, you will learn the foundations of Ayurveda and access deeper levels of understanding through the lens of the Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The Doshas can be considered organizational tools which help us understand and more intimately experience the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space (ether). We will explore the elements through this lens of the Doshas by using our bodies as a reference point for asana, meditation, and the senses. There will also be presentation and discussion.

The goal of the workshop is to give you a tangible experience and empower you to find greater well-being through the ever present pulse of life. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a notebook/pen and a mat for yoga practice. There will be mats available if you need one.

Cost: $108 for 4 weeks
